Whether you are exploring Christianity, new to the faith, or have been a Christian for many years, we invite you to join us as we follow Jesus together and live for His glory.
To really get to know someone, you need to know their deeply held values and the difference they strive to make. You need to know what they are “for.” Wildwood is for the Church (Philippians 1:6, Galatians 4:19), for our Community (Jeremiah 29:7, Acts 17:26-27), for the Nations (Isaiah 49:6, Acts 1:8), and for the Next Generation (2 Timothy 2:2, Psalm 145:4).
We believe God is growing His followers in two critical areas: their faith in Him and their love for others (2 Thessalonians 1:3). We believe that God tends to use 5 key things to grow us in these ways as we follow Him into: the Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17), worship (Colossians 3:16-17), community (Hebrews 10:19-24), ministry (1 Peter 4:10), and mission (Matthew 28:19-20). Therefore, we organize our ministry activities around times that encourage participation in and practice of these disciplines.
Wildwood is a church that cares deeply about doctrine. God asks His people to trust Him and take Him at His Word. Therefore, we believe His words matter, and how we understand His truth is essential to our beliefs and practice.
Wildwood has two documents that govern our beliefs: ”The Essentials” and our “Statement of Faith.” ”The Essentials” are found on the back of the bulletin every Sunday (listed below) and represent what a person must embrace in order to become a member of Wildwood Community Church. The “Statement of Faith” is a longer document that must be embraced by our Pastors and Elders and reflects our teaching position as a church.
