What is Our Vision?
Impacting Norman's Youth with Jesus Christ

How Do We Accomplish This?
Reaching students who do not know Christ and encouraging and equipping students who know Christ to grow in that relationship and to share Him with others.

How Will We Know That We Have Succeeded?
When students graduate out of YouthWAV, they are characterized by these qualities:
The Word of God is their ultimate authority.
They like God as well as love Him.
They are confident in who they are in Christ.
They have a heart for people; unbelievers and believers.
They have the ability to reason. They know what they believe and why they believe it.

What's Unique About YouthWAV?
We place a high emphasis on helping each student grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Every grade is divided into male and female groups called Shepherding Groups. Each Shepherding Group has a Shepherd, college age or above, who cultivates a relationship with each student in their group. The Shepherding Groups meet together twice a month: every second Wednesday of the month, and every fourth Sunday of the month. The Shepherd also meets with their students one-on-one or in groups outside of church time. This set-up allows for an immediate sense of belonging within the group, especially for new students. Over time, Shepherding Groups lead to deeper relationships, accountability, and support for every member of the group. The students and Shepherds both look forward to Shepherding Group times, which are often said to be the favorite part of the YouthWAV program.

    On Sundays:

    Wildlife (6th- 8th grade)-- 9:30am -10:35am
    Breakaway (9th-12th grade) -- 10:50am-11:55am

    Wednesday nights:

    Wildlife (6th- 8th grade)-- 5:30-7:30pm
    BreakAway (9th- 12th grade)--  7:45-9:30pm

During the summer:

    On Sundays:

    Wildlife (6th- 8th grade)-- 9:30am -10:35am
    Breakaway (9th-12th grade) -- 10:50am-11:55am
