Wildwood's Involvement in Latvia

Wildwood has been involved in the country of Latvia for many years through one of our members, Ilgvars Vermelis, a native of Latvia. He has acted as the liaison and translator for Wildwood's work in the country. Bruce Hess, our Senior Teaching Pastor, has made many trip with Ilgvars to Latvia. The trips are used for special teaching times from Bruce to the churches of Latvia and to encourage the believers on the region.

Wildwood is involved year round in Latvia through the Christian Radio Ministry. Sunday morning messages are transcribed by member of Wildwood and then sent to Latvia where a team translates them into Latvian. The messages are then read by an actor and are broadcast twice a week in a segment called "Treasures for Every Day". Many people have come to faith in Christ through the Christian Radio Ministry and many more have been greatly encouraged and have grown in their spiritual life through the ministry.
